Dear DonFuerians,
Recently we've been informed by a devoted fan that our name, DonFuer, is not a perfect translation of Father's Gift. After close examination we have realized our error and are now rebranding to the more proper "Vater's Geschenk."
How does this effect bases?
All prior bases are being renamed retroactively. DonFuer 1-17 and 19 will now be Vater's Geschenk 1-17 and 19. COVID-2147 and COVID-2149 will henceforth be Mutter-zweitausendeinhundertvierzigundseben and Mutter-zweitausendeinhundertvierzigundneun. Smaller bases like Don Hoggal and Don Meer will be Vater Hoggal and Vater meer
Why did this take so long to figure out?
To be honest, we never knew. Nobody had ever bothered to tell us our mistake, and we always assumed it was the proper translation. We thought we were correct and since nobody ever told us what the actual German was we never knew to fix it.
How can I receive compensation for being misled?
We realize the grave significance of misleading the public for over 7 years as to the language of our name. Various compensation packages are available by rank. DM dragonworm#0001 for more information.
What does HermeticLock think?
We have reached out to him for comment but have not received anything.
Won't this kill branding? You can't change titles of videos about DonFuer or their content
We know that this will hurt our brand, and have accepted that liability in the name of an accurate translation of father's gift. Fortunately, FitMC has agreed to reupload his video, dubbing "Vater's Geschenk" whereever appropriate

What has D_loaded done to address this controversy?
D has always been one to act quickly in the face of crises, and so he has changed his name to V_loaded to address the problem.
And the DonFuer website?
It has already been fixed! The web designers worked overtime last night to fix it as quickly as possible before more were hurt by this misinfo. Domains are expensive, however, and we can not expect vatersgeschenk.com to go live for another few weeks.
When will VaterHack be complete?
VaterHack is running on all cylinders now and is set to release any minute now!
How will this impact alliances?
We have spoken with representatives from gnir lleb and division who were very gracious about the change, arrangements have already been made for our new name and we don't expect any significant roadblocks in future faction alliance stemming from our rebranding.
What about other branches?
Due to the name recognition of our deadname on 2b2t, we have elected for them to keep it for now but phase into the new name more slowly so as to not lose the strength of our brand. Future branches will use the Vater's Geschenk name.

i was dicking around with converting file types bc apparently discord server icons are .webp even though discord doesnt even support webp as an image type
