That’s a valid concern. But applicants at base camp are not risking anything

We’ve stepped up security at the base camp > scout base level and that needs to be accounted for

Basically my thought process is reduce false positives (people who would be good members but get misidentified as potential insiders) without compromising false negatives (potential insiders that get misidentified as good members)

Like for instance we have a guy that built one good house at bleepus. But he never VCs and he’s been inactive. He’s not getting promoted.

donfuer is already very inclusive, but there do have to be standards. most of the people who can't vc end up being suspicious, so i think it's too big of a risk. plus, even if recruitment rates drop a bit, that's okay. quality over quantity

What? No? Ssay I would apply for a job and send in a lousy app. Ofc they wouldn't reach out to me and tell me how to fix it so I could get the job. They would just deny me on the spot.
